Guessing your time on your workout sets? ⏲️ Well, now you don’t have to!
Available on the TrueCoach Client app for both iOS and Android devices, you can now use our timer features within the app while you break a sweat. The timer features will continue to run even when you navigate away from the app!
Here’s the quick rundown on the features:
Stopwatch: Counts up indefinitely.
Countdown timer: Counts down from a specified amount of time.
Interval timer (iOS only): Counts down from a specified workout and rest duration, for a given number of intervals.
To use the timer features, tap into a specific exercise card within your workout.
iOS users have the option of selecting between the stopwatch, timer, or interval timer. Android users have the option of selecting between the stopwatch and timer. (They will see the interval timer soon!)
The Stopwatch:
Ah, the classic stopwatch. This timer feature counts up indefinitely. Upon stopping the time or exiting the stopwatch, the recorded time will be automatically copied and ready for pasting into the exercise results.
The Countdown Timer:
The countdown timer counts down from a specified amount of time–perfect for those AMRAPs or when you want to time your rests!
The Interval Timer (iOS only) :
Need a timer for your EMOM or TABATA workouts? The interval timer features a 10-second countdown and counts down from a specified workout and rest duration, for a given number of intervals.
First, specify the working time, rest time, and the number of intervals, then hit “Start” to display a 10-second countdown.
The green screen displays the time remaining of your work set, while the red screen displays the rest time.
It’s easy to get lost on which set you’re on, so let this timer do the work! 😌 The “Intervals Remaining” box helps to remind you of how many intervals are left.
Troubleshooting tip: Turn on TrueCoach notifications in your phone settings to enable interval timer alerts even when you navigate away from the app.

The TrueCoach Android app is in beta testing. Learn what that means and how to get your hands on the app today!
A public beta provides you access to download and use the “unfinished” version of our new Android app. Pretty cool, huh?!
This means that after opting into the Google Play testing program any client who trains on the TrueCoach platform will be able to start using the Android app to view and complete workouts, message coaches, and get push notifications for new comments and messages.
Click below to download the app!
While there’s still plenty more to add, we wanted to get something out and start collecting feedback. We’d love to hear about what features you and your clients want to see most! For any feature that is not available in the beta version, the app will have a link to bring you to the web version of the app on your default browser.
Thanks so much for checking out TrueCoach on Android, and for the help making it the best it can be!
Click on the workout where you would like to upload a video. Then, click on the gray camera icon to select your video. The example below will apply specifically to Exercise A “Back Squat”.
Here’s where you can choose where the uploaded video is coming from:
Once you’ve selected your video, it will begin uploading.
Then, the video will appear.
If you accidentally uploaded the wrong video, no worries, just click and hold to delete.
To add a video as a comment, click the gray camera icon in the comments section and upload and save!
In the app, begin your workout (Exercise A for this example) and when you want to upload a photo/video you will select “Update results for A”.
From there, you can select the camera icon and upload the image you wish!
Make sure to hit “Update results for A” to save your uploads!
If you accidentally uploaded the wrong video, no worries, just swipe your finger to the left over the file and a “trash can” will appear. Select that to delete the file. Again, make sure to hit “Update results for A” to have your updates saved!
Currently, on TrueCoach, you can’t change the days your workouts are on. But that doesn’t mean you HAVE to stick to the schedule your coach provides!
Start off by tapping on your “past” workouts tab. You will be able to view and complete any workouts that are marked as “missed.” Simply click on the workout, and press begin!
Don’t want those pesky “missed workout” emails?
Not a problem!
Login to your TrueCoach client account from any browser, and you will find some email settings when you click into your profile!
Toggle this setting to off/grey, and you will no longer receive an email saying that you have missed a workout!
We have a few ways for your clients to share their workouts from TrueCoach to the world. Their results will display, however any comments between you and your client will not.
Each workout has a ‘share’ link at the top:
From there you can select which channel you’d like to share from whether it’s social media or a private link to send to a friend.
Make gains, tell the world!
